We can now reveal that Litfest 2018 will [subject to funding] be even bigger and better than last year.
We are having more writers, more workshops, and bigger projects. Responding to suggestions in the feedback, we will include scriptwriting and drama, improve the bookshop and signage, and build partnerships with more organisations. We will also ensure we have a better record of our events with an official photographer.
One development we are particularly pleased about is that the wonderful “Poem and a Pint” team, usually based about four miles north [!] are coming to Dalton and running the Open Mic session for us.
Although most of the visiting writers will still be Cumbrian, we are inviting a few from further afield including … a BIG name! We can’t reveal names yet even though eight, yes eight, have already agreed to come. But watch this space in future weeks for more information. ... See more
